Connect Gmail
Protect a Gmail mailbox — OAuth consent or app password.
EverDrive protects Gmail two ways: Google's authorization consent, or a Gmail app password over IMAP.
Option A — Google authorization
- Open Connections and choose Google / Gmail.
- Select Continue to Google and approve the consent screen.
- You return to EverDrive with the mailbox connected.
Option B — app password
- In Google Account → Security → 2-Step Verification → App passwords, generate a password for Mail.
- In EverDrive, choose Other Email, enter your Gmail address and the app password.
- EverDrive connects over imap.gmail.com:993 automatically — no advanced settings needed.
Your Google sign-in to EverDrive and mailbox protection are separate. Signing in with Google does not grant mailbox access.
